Duke Kunshan University Trade Union
According to the requirements of the Ministry of Education, based on the Trade Union Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Constitution of the Chinese Trade Unions, Duke Kunshan University (the “University“) established its Trade Union (the “Union“) in July 2014 as a primary-level trade union organization, affiliated to the Kunshan New & High-tech Industrial Development Zone’s General Trade Union. The first General Conference of the Union conducted democratic election in accordance with the standard process of Kunshan Federation of Trade Unions, electing its Chairman, Deputy Chairman, committee members, and members of the Fund Inspection Committee and the Female Employee Committee. As of August 2025, the number of the Union members reached 451. There are 20 committee members of the Union, including one Chairman and one Deputy Chairman.
根据教育部的要求，以《中华人民共和国工会法》和《中华全国总工会章程》为依据，昆山杜克大学于2014年7月依法成立了工会组织，作为基层工会组织，隶属于昆山高新技术产业开发区总工会。首届工会全体大会根据昆山市总工会的标准流程进行了民主选举，选举产生了工会主席、副主席、工会委员会委员、以及经费审查委员会委员和女职工委员会委员。截止到2025年8月，会员人数达到451人。现有工会委员会成员20人，工会主席、副主席各1人。
Duke Kunshan University Trade Union is a mass organization for all the faculty and staff. Its responsibilities are to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of employees, facilitate their participation in democratic governance and oversight, and conduct various activities to enhance team cohesion and employees’ physical and mental health.
昆山杜克大学工会是全体教职工的群众性组织。工作职责是维护职工合法权益，组织职工参与民主管理和民主监督，开展提升团队凝聚力和促进职工身心健康的各项活动。
Duke Kunshan University Trade Union remains committed, under the leadership of the University’s Party Committee and the higher-level Trade Union organization, to focus its work closely around the University’s central tasks, conscientiously discharge its duties, represent and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the faculty and staff, and carry out its work independently in accordance with relevant regulations. Since its establishment, the Union has held a variety of activities, which have been popular with employees.
昆山杜克大学工会坚持在学校党委和上级工会的领导下，紧紧围绕学校的中心任务，认真履行工会基本职责，代表和维护教职工的合法权益，并按照规定独立自主地开展工作。自成立以来，工会开展了内容丰富的各项活动，深受职工的欢迎。
